Biography

In the 14th century, Eleanora, a woman from Abbotsbury, England, found solace in her walks to St. Catherine's Chapel. Her melodic voice would gracefully fill the air as she sang her heart out. However, tragedy struck when a severe illness claimed her life, leaving her spirit forever bound to the chapel's halls.
As the centuries passed, Eleanora's ethereal presence became known to locals who would occasionally hear her hauntingly beautiful voice echoing through the chapel. Legend has it that on every blue moon, Eleanora's spectral song would intensify, hoping to captivate someone's attention and entice them to read her untold story.


Special moments during the project's creation:

The creation of this album has been simply fascinating, including not only new and occasional challenging experiences, but also very special.

One of these was when Gina sang inside St. Catherine's Chapel, the very site of where our story takes place. Not knowing the current circumstances awaiting us, this was spontaneous, without the usual warming up of her voice, and we had only a few solitary minutes, as other visitors were swiftly approaching the chapel.
The recording of „Vis eterna es“ was undertaken purely out of curiosity; only after hearing the quality did we decide to use this on-site recording instead, thereby giving our audience the chance to hear the authentic acoustics of St. Catherine's Chapel, which are undoubtedly magnificent!

As the blue moon plays a significant role in Eleonora's story, we were delighted at the discovery of this phenomena occurring within the year of the album's creation. Unbelievable as it may seem, the score was finished at the time of this year's blue moon, in the early hours of the 31st August 2023 - clearly marking a special moment.“
